Vehicle Description
Up for sale in the Orlando showroom is this wicked little 1973
Mazda RX-2. Introduced in 1970 the RX-2, or Capella as it was
marketed in Japan, was Mazda's intermediate alternative to their
smaller models. Offering a range of motors in not quite midsize,
not quite compact coupe and sedan body styles, the RX-2 was popular
with families and singles alike. The RX-2's slew of engine choices
included 4 cylinders from 1.5 - 1.8 liters or a Wankel twin rotary.
RX-2s fitted with the Wankel Rotary were marketed more like a
sports car and fitted with a 5 speed manual they sure drove like
one too! This fine 1973 example has been modernized with a brand
new 13B rotary engine producing around 130HP connected to a 5 speed
manual allowing this car to rev to moon and back! The restoration
on this car was done in 2012 and included a beautiful white paint
that only a classic Japanese car can pull off so well. Along with
the brand new engine the car received a full air conditioning
system and a new radiator. This sporty little Japanese coupe is
ready for a new owner to wind it through the gears! Options include
AC, AM radio, CD player, power brakes, power steering, seat belts,
vinyl interior and racing wheels wrapped in radial tires. For more
