Vehicle Description
We could tell you about the full size classic luxury that this 1967
Chevrolet Impala SS offers, but you're already mesmerized by the
paint. We don't even have to mention the A/C interior, or the
performance 383 stroker V8 under the hood before you're ready to
give us a call on this exceptional custom.
Let's start with that award-worthy paint. It might look like a
glossy black when there's no light on it, but when you take this
out into the sunshine, you see the deep richness of black cherry.
The complete professional paintwork and precision panels give the
coupe the kind of luster that looks like candy apple red went over
to the dark side. And while the '67 coupes had some of the best
Coke-bottle styling straight from the factory, this one has its
aggressive touches upgraded with custom pieces like shaved door
handles, tinted windows, and a cowl hood. This is part of a highly
detailed full restoration that happened in 2010, and that's why the
chrome still has a sparkle that not even GM could deliver from the
factory. The large brightwork on the grille, pointed front bumper,
integrated rear bumper, and all that complete trim make sure people
know you're at the car show to win awards. Of course, one part of
the brightwork no one will forget to check out is th set of large
17-inch REV alloys.
Inside you get the best of a classic Impala SS with some great, but
subtle, upgrades. It starts with a black interior that has clearly
has investment so that if the seats, carpeting, headliner, dash,
and any other component was not up to standard was replaced during
restoration. A true Super Sport means bucket seats and a center
console, and so this full-size Impala can carry plenty of friends
and family, but will also make sure you always have individual
comfort. As you grip the three-spoke Chevy sports steering wheel,
it gives you a clear view of the full round gauge package. Then
you'll start to notice upgrades like the large AutoMeter tach and
the pair of auxiliary gauges under the dash. This is a coupe made
for cruising, so you'll love that you can hook up the most modern
music players to the vintage-looking radio. It's the kind of coupe
that makes you want to roll all the windows down and show off the
pillarless hardtop profile. And so you'll also be happy to have the
R134a air conditioning to keep you feeling cool while you're
looking cool.
You're going to love opening the hood at car shows. All the
investment in making every engine component so shiny makes this
beastly motor look like it's radiating power from within the dark
engine bay. And when you look beyond the style, you'll find the
substance of a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8 that has been upgraded
with performance components like an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor, performance intake, and long tube headers. The full
package is said to be rated at 450 horsepower, and the rumble of
the dual exhaust lets everyone know it. Add in the fact it only has
about 500 miles since it was built and you know it's ready to go.
It's truly built to attack the streets with a TH400 three-speed
automatic that features a B&M shift kit to keep you in the
powerband. And the stout 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears is great
for launching those performance tires. But there's more to this
cool Impala than just pure muscle. With power steering and front
disc brakes, it's an easy everyday driver. There's even a Be Cool
aluminum radiator, so this custom stays cool even if you're in
traffic with the A/C running.
They seemed to have thought of everything with this custom Impala.
