The development of the NSX started with a not so well known
prototype called the Honda Pininfarina eXperimental, abbreviated as
the HP-X. It was a wild design for the day, and completely
futuristic. The car featured no doors; entry was made by lifting
the roof of the car. But all of this lead to the development of the
NSX that is much loved by today's car collectors. The NSX is a
mid-engine two-seater sports car that was developed to compete with
other "supercars" of the day like Ferrari and Porsche. When it was
released in 1990 it was fitted with a transversely mounted
3.0-liter engine that could be paired to a five-speed manual
transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. The naturally
aspirated, VTEC equipped, engine was capable of producing 270
horsepower with a top speed of 168-mph.
The 1990 Honda NSX offered here is right-hand-drive and powered by
the factory 3.0-liter engine that is paired to a four-speed
automatic transmission. The car is adorned with power steering,
brakes, windows; air conditioning and a radio. The exterior is
finished nicely with red paint over an inviting black leather
interior. Completing the NSX is the owner's manual, which is in
Japanese, and a desirable Titanium NSX key.
Included with this NSX is a JEVIC Odometer Certificate of
Verification which is issued by the Japan Export Vehicle Inspection
Center Company. The verification was conducted on the 1st of June,
2016. The certificate was issued on the 6th of June, 2016. The
odometer reading stated on the certificate is 47,808
kilometers.
This NSX has had a recent engine out service which included a new
timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, hoses, gaskets and seals. The
car also has fresh fluids, a new air conditioning compressor and
new tires.
