When Porsche introduced the 356, it featured unique styling and was
powered by a stout air cooled four-cylinder engine. By 1966 it was
time for Porsche to release a new model to replace the 356. This
model was the 911. The Porsche 911 was revolutionary and has
retained the same styling through today. Because the new 911 body
was more expensive to make than the 356, Porsche decided to use the
four-cylinder engine in some models. This created a more affordable
line, with the same styling as the 911, and it was called the
Porsche 912. The 912's were very balanced and quite comparable to
the more expensive 911.
1969 was the last year for the much-loved Porsche 912. The last
year received an updated interior and power windows were available
as an option. Powering this restored Porsche is a four-cylinder
engine fueled by dual carburetors. Connected to the engine is a
five-speed manual transmission. The exterior is finished elegantly
with red paintwork and Fuch wheels. The interior of the car is
tailored with in black with vinyl upholstery, CD player and
complete instrumentation.
