This 1965 Dodge Coronet 440 is an original big block car and comes right out of the Lynch Road Facility, where all the HEMI cars were first born. This car was spotted as a shell in Arizona and was picked up and completely restored with almost exclusively N.O.S. and restored original parts. The only after-market parts are the rubber seals. (FYI, 440 does not stand for engine displacement on MOPARS...it's the trim line). Refinished in its' original Ruby Red Metallic with white quarter stripe, and original color white interior makes for a stunning color combination.
472 Hemi Engine with Mopar Crossram manifold with recently rebuilt original Holley "Cheater Carbs". Built 727 transmission with reverse pattern manual valve body, Dana 60 differential from Strange Engineering with 4:10 Posi unit, and 3 inch exhaust with cut-outs for that low throaty, head turning sound. Bias ply front tires and stock wheels widened in the rear with 12 inch wide Hurst cheater slicks. Trunk mount battery with correct battery mounting plate and accessories. Correct Mopar battery, heater and radio delete, (N.O.S. delete plate), manual steering and manual drum brakes with 11 inch heavy duty brakes all around (twin cavity master cylinder for safety). Rebuilt leaf springs to Super Stock specs by Deaver Spring-(they did many of the local MOPAR guys springs originally). Leaf Spring clamps by Mopar Performance, sub frame connectors, TTI headers, KYB front shocks, and Competition Engineering rear drag shocks. All this makes for one heck of a head turning MOPAR you just have to see. Highly detailed and correctly finished under hood and trunk areas.
Period correct white vinyl interior makes this a stunning re-creation inside and out. This really is a 1965 drag car brought back to life. Offered at $78,500 OBO.
