This 1939 BUICK has been restored to its original
condition.
The Buick was purchased by my father from the original
owner in 1959. It wasn't until 2000 that we decided to
restore the car and took it up to Jenkins Associates in North
Wilksboro NC. Louis Jenkins held the patents for all the
interior leather & fabric designs and had great experience
finding the necessary parts to restore the car to its original
condition. Retained invoices show that restoration expenses
exceeded $90,000.
The 1939 Buick was then carried to several national meets where the car won 1st place in the junior and senior categories:
~ At the Buick Club of America show in 2001, it won the senior preservation award.
~ It won the senior category at the 2001 AACA National Fall Meet in Hershey, PA.
~ It also won first place in 2002 at the Annual
Grand National Meet in New Bern N.C.
The car has been kept under cover in a humidity controlled garage. No one has touched the car without gloves resulting in a beautiful interior and exterior condition. If you like any additional information, please send to [email protected]
