For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1957 Ford Fairlane 300. This Fairlane has all of the right touches. Starting with a striking Dodge Viper Gray metallic and Bright Silver two tone paint job separated by carbon fiber inserts and finished off with a set of seventeen inch aluminum Rocket Wheels. Shortened springs in the front and lowering blocks out back give this Fairlane a great stance. Rack and pinion steering aid in a modern driving experience. The power-train is what will get most people excited. Powering this bad boy is a 406 tri-power big block with aluminum heads with less than 2,000 miles since rebuilt. This combination is putting out 450 horsepower! The power is sent through 4-speed Top Loader from a Cobra Jet and uses a Heavy Duty clutch. There is only 200 miles on the rebuilt transmission. The driveshaft is a custom stainless steel unit and the rear end is a Ford 9" with highway gears. Slowing the Fairlane down is done with power front disc brakes and drums in the rear. The underside of this car is just as impressive as the rest of the car. The restoration was a frame off rotisserie and it shows. Inside you will find an updated interior, however originality was kept in mind. There is still the split bench seat, but it has been fitted with carbon fiber appearing inserts for a great look to match the inserts that separate the two tone exterior. The steering also has a carbon fiber rim around an aluminum split three spoke design with a tilt column. The Dodge Viper Gray and Bright Silver exterior colors also find their way into the cabin for a great look. White faced gauges with red lettering and auxiliary gauges beneath the dash give a clear view of the vehicles vitals. A Hurst shifter with a carbon fiber appearing shifter boot fit right in with the well appointed interior. Inside the glove box are the controls for the Vintage Heat and Air.
