This 1997 Defender 110 started its life as a 90. In 2013 a frame
off restoration was performed ( resto/mod ) and transformed the 90
into a 110. The current owner bought the truck and then stripped it
back down to the galvanized frame and rebuilt using only Land Rover
OEM parts, from the rivets to the wiring harness nothing was
overlooked. When the truck was in pieces and being prepped for a
fresh paint job the quality of the body panels was not up to the
new owners specifications, so a new rear tub, wings, doors and hood
were bought from Land Rover.
The owner decided to stay period correct, which is a nice touch
with so many faux puma's running around.
While the truck was apart the engine and transmission had a fresh
rebuild, as well as new brakes and suspension. The aluminum wheels
were switched out for steel NATO wheels fitted with BFG AT tires.
It currently has less than 1k miles on the current restoration.
The paint is flawless triple black Glasurit paint and this vehicle
shows, runs and drives beautifully.
There is canvas soft top as well with the vehicle.
