The Model: By the mid-90s Ferrari was starting to bring their
sports cars into the modern era and their track-focused machines
were at the brink of supercar status. When the F430 hit the
streets in 2004 the sleek new aerodynamic sheet metal hid a
completely new engine from Ferrari. The new 4.3 liter V8 was 40
percent larger and only packed on an additional 8 pounds. With
heads copied directly from their formula one engines, even a base
model F430 stopped the 0-60 timer in under 4 seconds. If you had a
laser-like focus on lap times at track days, Ferrari was thinking
about you in 2007 when they had Michael schumacher unival the
lighter, more powerful Scuderia. They lightened the car by 220
pounds and tweaked the engine for an additional 13 HP power, giving
anyone at the controls the necessary machinery to put down
Ezo-rivaling lap times.

The Car: Understated with a solemn silhouette, there is little to
distract from the clean, smooth Nero finish, with the exception of
the red Brembo brakes and the yellow badge adorning the fender.
Inside, you don't need to look at the odometer to tell this is a
low-miles supercar. The near perfect red Italian-leather seats,
bright yellow tach and black trim send you into sensory overload,
like a proper Italian sports car should. Previously only driven
enough to stay limber, the V8 outback is ready to scream down the
back roads or the local circuit at the hands of the first person
who dares to tach it up to its 8500 redline. If you are the kind of
guy that would drive an F1 car to dinner if you could, grab this
Ferrari and let your significant other join you.
