Here for your consideration is a Classic, 1974, original miles,
custom painted Corvette. The odometer currently reads 70,000. It
has turned over once. Making it a total of 170,000 on the
frame. The car has a clean title, everything matches. I
originally purchased Rosie (The corvette) from a guy who bought it
from the original owners in California. It passed emissions,
and runs/idles very well. A lot of time, effort, and money has
made this car what it is. A paint job like this would easily run
you over $10,000. I got a quote from a good friend who has a paint
shop and he said he wouldn't do a paint job like this for under
20k.
Granted, the paint was done a few years back, but is still in
great shape. It has always been garaged or covered. There are
flaws, please take a look at the photos. Overall, it is in
excellent condition. The paint is an 8/10 condition. It has a
great shine, you could read a book off of the reflection if you
wanted to.
I just had it detailed this week inside and out. A 5 layer polish,
and wax was put on the paint.
The tires have about 3/4th of their life left. The back tires
are about 2x the width of the front tires. The body is also
slightly wider than standard. It is more of a resto-mod. The
outcome is a beautiful c3 corvette, unique to any other c3 out
there.
Rims are in great condition. (8/10)
Original powered windows are all in good condition. The motors
could use a repair or replacement in the future.
The luggage rack on the back is mint. (some imperfections on
the driver's side paint under the stingray emblem from
pressure)
All emblems are present and in good condition.
Historical Vehicle License plate is an option with this car when
registering. (It's about $25 for a pair of plates.) A plus for
anyone shipping overseas. I’m willing to work with anyone
regardless of where you are located. I just want Rosie to go to a
great home.
The interior is an 8/10. Leather seats, aftermarket stereo, door
and rear speakers, new battery, excellent carpet, refurbished door
sills, original windows, newly painted center console.
The original dash has been re-furbished. New matching vinyl leather
has been upholstered around the dash. It looks and feels like real
leather.
There have been many additions to increase the performance and yet
maintain an enjoyable smooth ride in this classic. The engine is in
excellent condition, and was recently professionally rebuilt. An
estimated 5,000 miles is on the rebuilt original engine. The
numbers match what they should be for the year.
The steering wheel is a telescoping steering wheel. (This adds $750
in value and collectibility. Remember, as you look around for your
new classic car, you're making an investment. Cars of this age and
condition continue to go up in value)
Powered steering (very quiet) - this is a huge bonus and also adds
over $2,500 in value! Remember, these numbers go up as they become
more rare over the years. (Especially the L-82 model)
There is no A/C in this car, but there is room under the hood if
this something you'd like to install or have installed. I do have
some spare AC duct parts that i had just in case i was going to add
on to the car. I didn't feel the need, as i drive with the windows
down or the t-tops off.
It does have powered windows, but they sometimes need a little help
getting up. Motors could use replacing in the future.
The engine is running strong, idles well, very powerful. The
upgrades (aftermarket HEI distributor system, aftermarket headers,
new starter & starter solenoid, etc...) have both allowed it to
have more horse power, and torque. The Holley carb has been
adjusted to spec, and drives extremely strong. Float levels are to
spec, as well as the accelerator pump. When we began working on
this specific corvette, it ran well, but accelerated very slowly.
This is no longer the case.
Shifts smoothly when automatically shifting, or you can manually
shift from 1st to 2nd and then to 3rd. It’s a turbo hydra-matic
transmission. (3 speed automatic)
While I was at the MDV registering this vehicle in my name, i had
them look up the value of the car, and the number they came up with
(by looking at local classic car dealerships and others in the
nation) was $23,975. It's in great condition. It could use a few
more hours of work and a couple of upgraded parts, so I don't
expect that exact amount, but I will not sell this classic for
cheap. I hope to find someone who will enjoy it as much as my
fiancee and I have.
I can't describe every detail of the car in this description, there
are so many things that i love about it. Come and test drive it
yourself! Serious buyers with cash in hand.
