Take a look at this beautiful 1956 Pontiac Star Chief brought to by Caruso Classic Cars. This is a great car with very little to do to make it "your" cruiser. Engine is the 316 cubic Inch, 227hp V-8 engine. The 2-barrel carburetor has been replaced with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and air cleaner. The original air cleaner comes with the car. The motor ran great until a coolant leak was detected and has been parked in a garage ever since. The correct 3 Speed Automatic Transmission shifts smooth. The gasket on the transmission does need to be replaced. Drum Brakes all around with new front shoes, new battery, new voltage regulator, new power steering hoses, new belts and all new coolant hoses. Two-Toned Interior is very pristine with an AM Radio; clock in the dash, which are all original. The original bench seats are tucked tight. This car has a clean straight body with excellent lines. Some rust on the inner door. The turquoise and white exterior paint is in excellent shape. Chrome and Bright work shine like new. Wheels and tires are in Excellent Shape.
