Up for sale we have a real treat for you. This is a 1962 Chevy Bel Air Bubble Top that has had a complete restoration. It's a real '62 Bubble Top with the 21637 Vin and the 1637 on the Trim Tag. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Bubble Top. This famed body style is set off by dynamic body lines and tons of eye candy. The body is laser straight with some of the best fitting panels we've seen on this body style. There's no better way to show this off than the Tuxedo Black paint that's done in base coat clear coat. Countless hours were spent buffing and polishing it to a mirror finish that looks a foot deep. Inside all the jams and under the hood and trunk are a testament to the quality of restoration this '62 went thru. The paint is killer but it would lose its appeal if the Chrome and Stainless wasn't as equally impressive. No worries, every piece is either new or has been polished to a like new condition. As for the glass, you're sure to love it as it is in phenomenal condition with all of the seals and weather stripping being replaced at the time of the resto. Now, there's nothing sweeter than having the car everyone is checking out, and this custom set of 19" and 20" Billet Specialties is sure to have their envy!
Next, we will look at the interior of the Bel Air. There's a lot of things about the exterior to love, but this color combo will make you fall in love all over again. The Aqua is a gorgeous complement to the Tuxedo Black. As you slide into the driver seat you'll notice that it has the correct style Bucket Seats and Covers. It comes with the mini console and chrome plate in the floor that houses the four-speed shifter. Now when you look around the cabin notice the Headliner has been replaced. All the trim around the headliner and seats are phenomenal. Even the visor mechanisms and rear view mirror are new. The dash paint is every bit as slick as the exterior. All the gauges are working from the Speedo to the Column Mounted Tach. Also, you'll notice the radio has been upgraded to the digital unit and the Vintage AC and Heat vents were added under the dash.
Finally, we will pop the hood and tell you about the heartbeat of this Chevy. If you wanted the best of the best, well you got it. Under the hood, it features the Dual Quad 409. The polished Edelbrock Intake is fitted with two four barrel Edelbrock Carbs. It doesn't stop there as the valve covers are also polished along with the breather. This Bubble Top has been fitted with an Aluminum radiator to keep it cool on those hot days while you have the Vintage AC going. We know AC alone won't do the trick so this 409 comes with Power Steering along with Four Wheel Power Disc brakes with the drilled and slotted rotors. As we look under this '62 you'll see the 409 is mated to the Four Speed Trans and Stock Style Rear End. All the front end is in excellent condition. As the Ball Joints, Upper and Lower Control Arm Bushings, Tie Rod Ends, and End Link Bushings have been replaced. The frame is solid as rock along with the floors where they have changed some of the pans. This Bel Air also comes with a new Gas tank installed along with new fuels lines.
