This car has was purchased at Barrett Jackson in 2009. It has been sitting in covered storage for many years. I have not attempted to start it as I have a 6 volt battery on order, but have no reason to believe it will not run . Here are the notes from when the vehicle s was sold at Barrett Jackson:
1937 Hudson Terraplane Super Six with factory pull-out pickup bed. Original power dome engine with the original running gear. In 2000 the body was removed and all running gears. The frame was blasted and returned 100% with an epoxy sealer and blck top coat. All new suspension bushings and grease fitting where installed. The rear end was cleaned, painted, then resealed before installation. The driveshaft received new u-joints and balancing before being installed and mated to the completely gone through and resealed. original 3 speed transmission. New Wheel cylinders, brake linings, brake lines, NOS Cork Clutch and NOS Hudsonite clutch fluid and NOS leather seal throughout the bearings. New fuel lines and exhaust complete the underside. The engine was completely rebuilt to factory specs, NOS pistons, rings, valves, guides Cam and New Babbit bearings before being assembled and painted. After the engine was installed the completely refinished body was put back on. Once mounted the car received a factory-looking new wiring harness. New headliner carpet, door panels, and original seat frames where installed. All side and rear glass is new along with new rubber. Operates on a 6-volt positive ground electric system. The timeless classic runs and drives like a dream.
