We are selling this classic Thunderbird project for the estate of the owner who passed away midway through the restoration process. For the most part it appears the hard work has been completed. We know nothing of the car's history.
WHAT WE DO KNOW:
THE GOOD:
The car is fresh out of the body shop and looks very good
We replaced the gas tank as a result the car runs and drives just fine
The upholstery and padded dash look fresh
NEEDS ATTENTION:
Frame has rust particularly the "X" member
The hardtop headliner and weather stripping are ugly
The soft top consists of the frame only
We have not checked the car for Pennsylvania Safety Inspection
The carpet is unattractive
OTHER:
*The correct air cleaner housing, the continental kit and the original shifter are lost to the ages
Opportunity, they say, only knocks once. We feel with some sweat equity and a few dollars some lucky soul could be driving this classic for under $15,000.
