The most luxurious and sporty cruiser ever built. In my opinion. The Riviera combines luxury with great driving pleasure to rank at the top of my list for favorite to drive.
This car has only been driven 95,675 miles. The original, numbers matching 425 cubic inch nail head V8 has been rebuilt. It performs very well and is a real treat to drive. It is hard to believe it is over 50 years old!
This car has always been Regal Black with Blue cloth and vinyl interior. The repaint was done many years ago and still looks good. There is no sign of body filler or rust. There are chips, scratches, dents and dings from being driven, but nothing ugly. The chrome appears to be original and has some flaws, but nothing horrible.
This car was well equipped from the factory. It has power windows, seat and antenna, remote controlled mirrors, tilt steering, tinted glass and Buick road wheels. The original air conditioning still works.
The interior is attractive. The seats are not ripped or stained. The headliner and door panels are in good condition. A floor mat hides the torn and worn original carpet. Fitted mats cover the cracked and rusty dash and the package tray. The interior chrome is bright. All-in-all, it is still attractive.
The original trunk upholstery is intact. It hides a spare wheel. There is a jack and lug wrench properly stowed.
All features work. The power seat is a bit slow, otherwise, everything functions properly. The radio is now a retro-appearing AM/FM with USB jack in the glove box.
All lights are working. The horn blows and the wipers sweep. There are extra keys. They lock the doors as they should.
This is not a perfect car, yet it is still a great car for the price. It is a fantastic car to drive and still has a good look. It is really hard to beat the luxury and drivability of a Buick Riviera.
