REALLY COOL BARN FIND, ORIGINAL V8, NEW BRAKES,
TIRES, AND MORE! We found this truck in a barn in an estate, pulled
it out and went through to make road ready; rebuilt the entire
brake system, wired lights, and installed a new interior. Take a
look at the details below:
Cosmetic
- Paint/Body: Old paint on overall straight
body. A few minor rust spots are found on the hood and around the
truck body. We left the rust for a patina look, but these spots
would be easy to repair. Paint is consistent from bumper to bumper.
Dr. Pepper vinyl logo is easily removed if you dont like it.
- Interior: Brand new seat padding and cover,
new door panels, kick panels, new rubber floor mat, and headliner.
Dash is uncut and in original condition.
- Glass/Windows: All glass is in good condition
except for drivers door glass which is cracked. Windows roll up and
down easily.
- Trunk: Old wood bed has broken pieces.
- Undercarriage: Rust free frame rails, floor
pans, and cab corners. Very minimal rust.
- Wheels/Tires: Original wheels with brand new
tires.
Mechanical
- Drivetrain: Original flathead V8 starts easily
and runs strong. 3-Speed on the column shifts easily through all
the gears and clutch feels good. Truck steers straight with usual
minor play.
- Lights/Electrical: All lights and brights
work. New tail lights.
- Brakes: All new hard and soft lines, new
shoes. Brakes stop straight and strong
This is a really cool truck that has a great patina as is, or
would make an easy candidate to continue a restoration project.
