A legend re-born!! When this Boss 302 Laguna Seca was unveiled at the Rolex Historic Races at Laguna Seca, this was the quickest, best-handling straight-production Mustang ever offered by Ford. This is not just an appearance package, although it does feature a Laguna Seca only paint scheme with the Black body and Race Red stripes, roof and wheels. Ford took the already potent 5.0 Coyote engine and upgraded it with new intake runners, revised camshafts, and more aggressive engine controls, raising output from the 412 hp to 440. Mated to a track ready, short-throw six-speed manual transmission with a beefed-up clutch, while the rear end packs a 3.73:1 axle ratio and carbon-fiber plates within the limited-slip differential. The suspension was also upgraded with stiffer springs and bushings. Adjustable shocks and thicker anti roll bars were employed for improved handling. This is not the family friendly version of the Mustang. The backseat has been ditched, from the factory, to save weight. Brembo brakes, 19 inch wheels and tires, short throw shifter, more horsepower and less weight. That is the recipe for a true race car and that's exactly what this Boss 302 Laguna Seca is.
