Nice solid Cadillac highway cruiser This is a really nice 1951 Cadillac Series 61 Sedan. It was originally sold in Nevada and spent most of its life there. It is now in Texas. I've owned this car for about 3 years and drive it regularly. It is a solid driver car that gets lots of attention rolling down the road.
It has plenty of power and will cruise all day at 80 MPH. The engine is strong, and the hydramatic transmission has been rebuilt. It has a 12V starter and alternator for reliability.
It is finished in Exeter Green which is the original color for this car. The exterior has been wet sanded and polished so the dark green looks just great. The paint is smoother than most new cars. Chrome and stainless are solid but not perfect.
The interior has been replaced and is green with tan vinyl. The headliner and carpet are also new. Included is a set of floormats that match the carpet. Steering wheel is clad in nice calfskin to match the rest of the interior. Seatbelts were added for safety. The windshield is new with no pits or scrapes. Loudest car horn I've ever heard.
This car won Car of the Year for 2016 at Cars and Coffee Austin.
Here is a list of what I've done to the car since I've owned it
New valve lifters and pushrods

This car has been a joy to own and drive. But I'm ready for the next project.
