Finished in stunning Merlot Burgundy over Tan and retaining it's original engine with only 50,000 miles, this 1938 Ford Deluxe Phaeton is one of the 1,169 built that year. In addition to being the rarest of the Fords built; it also marked the last year for no pillars between the doors. The Model 81A L-Head V-8 is mated to a 3-Speed Manual Transmission. Mechanical features include a solid front and live rear axles with transverse semi-elliptic leaf springs, and 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes.
