The fit and finish of the car is perfect it was not only to have a show piece but a reliable fun car to take out and drive. The paint is a quality two stage properly prepped so the sides are like looking in a mirror the paint color is Hugger orange with hand laid striped throughout the car, the paint and body were done by Moon Studios a premier street rod and custom painter that apprenticed with the late Von Dutch. All glass, rubber weather stripping, stainless and chrome is new throughout the car, nothing is old pieces re used. The stainless grill shell has been cut down. Custom rear nerf bar.
The power plant of the car is an original 425 HP 409 short block built by the best “ Lamar Walden” he stroked this motor to 496 cu inches the block was machined and outfitted with 4 bolt main caps and a 454 Chevy crank to manage to extra torque, twin Holley’s feed the intake and they have been blueprinted and bench flowed and jetted for this engine, MSD distributor and ignition, runs on 91 octane. There is a custom 4 core radiator w electric fan and shroud, custom lake style headers with end caps, 90 back under for full dual exhaust out of the rear with great sound, they have been ceramic coated. Custom built HD 400 turbo trans with full time manual floor shift, 2500 stall converter, 1.125 Spicer 4130 yoke and u joints with a .095 drive shaft tube. Total cost involved chassis, curie 9inch w 3.00 tru trac posi, drum rears parallel 4 link, strange adjustable rear coil overs, TCI drop axle kit with super bell axle, So Cal speed shop finned , vented, wildwood brakes, Qa1 adjustable shocks, uni steer rack.
Interior by JB custom interiors, car has been dyna matted from top to bottom, carpeted interior and trunk, hidden upgraded sound system, auto meter gauges, 4 point roll bar, B@M shifter, Steel wheels and flipper hub caps and also included are cheater slicks mounted on pin stripped wheels.
