Vehicle Description
The 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle is the ultimate muscle car for most of
us. So when you find one in bright red, with full Super Sport
livery and a big block, then you know it's love/lust at first
sight. And when desire on wheels is also a convertible with A/C,
you realize this is everything you've ever wanted and more in one
turnkey package.
A bright red Chevelle is always a source of pride, but you can
really tell that there was plenty invested in keeping this one a
cut above. Bodywork is excellent all around, with great gaps and a
lot of attention paid to getting those iconic black SS stripes
correct. The result is a car that looks amazing as the sunlight
highlights every curve from the cowl hood, to the subtle crease
that runs the entire profile. A car that looks great on a sunny day
is exactly what you want when you're iconic muscle car is also a
rare convertible. And as you get closer to look for the details, it
only gets better. The blacked out grille, hood pins, and all that
correct SS badging gives this some real attitude. It's built before
new bumper laws so those big chrome kings fit much snugger to the
body, and the rear still houses the taillights in a very cool way.
The bright attitude and performance image come together perfectly
on those large 17-inch REV alloys.
Beneath the black roof is a nice black interior. There was some
investment in all of the vinyl so you have a deep black appearance
no matter with the top up or down. High back buckets, center
console, and iconic horseshoe shifter means this is truly
everything you love in a Chevelle already in place. You'll slip
behind the classic three-spoke performance steering wheel and gaze
at the desirable U14 gauge panel that gave the SS vehicles a full
round gauge package, including tach. And while the stereo looks
like an original knob-style unit, it's actually an AM/FM digital
tuner with an aux input for the most modern music players. But one
of your favorite features will likely be the air conditioning.
Because with the touch of a button, the power folding roof opens
you up to the world but the A/C means you can stay cool while
looking cool in this Chevelle droptop.
But while this convertible has all the right features for cool
cruising, you won't be able to resist stopping off at the car shows
and lifting the hood. That's because the engine bay is filled with
big block power. The proper orange block of the 454 cubic-inch
motor just radiates power out of the slick black engine bay, and
the shine of the air grabber and valve covers looks fantastic. But
of course, your favorite feature of this V8 will be the roar the
Flowmaster dual exhaust makes every time the big block comes to
life. Add in power steering, power brakes, and a stout TH350
three-speed automatic transmission, and you've got the perfect
anytime driving package.
A big block drop top Chevelle that looks this great and has all the
right features. Since such an ideal classic convertible is
completely ready for the road today, you know it's going to be gone
tomorrow. Call now!!
