This is a good solid car with potential to be a great collector item to the right buyer. The Olds 442 is getting harder to come by, and I see very few of them coming across the auction blocks these days; nevertheless, they seem to be coming back in popularity. I bought this car from a friend at church because he needed to sell. I need to sell this car to make room in my garage, I have too many cars and projects.
Engine in car is the Olds 400 big block CID 4bbl quadrajet carb with Turbo 400 automatic transmission and headers. Quadrajet was just rebuilt. Car has the C stamp heads which are the expensive more desirable heads. Block is a 396026 G.Engine runs good, it has a slight exhaust leak at the bottom of the header. I just installed a new starter as well. Car had air conditioning at one time, previous owner removed compressor, evaporator still in car. Windsheild wipers and horn do not work. I will get those working. Old vinyl top was taken off and rust discovered by previous owner. I have new vinyl top in box . Car is in great shape. Has some rust on top and in few spots around the rear window and on trunk lid. Hood has a few spots as well. The average retail value on these cars is $24,400.00-50,000.00 on up depending on condition. Car has stereo with booster, spare tire, jackstand. A new paint job and some TLC, you will own a great peice of history. I am negotiable on price and will sell to you right. I hate to sell this car and would love to keep in my own collection. As you can see the car has a day 2, 1980's vibe to it. The car gets thumbs up and turns heads in its present condition. I have original 1968 Olds Service manual. Lets negotiate.
