The automatic transmission shift very smooth, and has avoided having any modifications over the years. The notorious power-plant fires up with ease and runs smoother than a top. A soft rumble emits itself from the tailpipes, and the engine just purrs along at highways speeds like a champ. The 5.7L heart of this ‘Vette recently had a thorough service, including a new timing chain, all new valve seals, new intake manifold gaskets, new fuel pump and hoses, Oil pan and gaskets, as well as the rear main seal, ignitions system, and the carburetor was rebuilt. Stepping into this interior is like jumping in a time capsule; everything is original except the carpet, which was replaced in 2007. At the same time, the vehicle was repainted from its original Silver paint to this shade of Viper Red that you see here. Several components of the rest of the car were given a refresh as well, including an all new brake system, from rotors and pads, to lines, all the way to a new master cylinder.
