something delicious and refreshing? This 1965 quite rare and hard
to find GMC Handi-Van, decorated in Coca-Cola livery, could quench
your automotive thirst. It is proudly presented by MotoeXotica
Classic Cars. A California Blue Plate van, this vehicle spent at
least part of its life in the Golden State of California and is
currently on a California title. Built in GMs Pontiac, Michigan
factory, it left painted ivory with standard trim and a 4,500-pound
gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). Now, it is painted white with
red trim and accents. The paint and trim are in very good
conditions with unique touches like red visors over the headlights,
red fins on the side vent windows. The vans glass panels are in
very good order. The lights are in good shape, crack-free and
clear. This van rolls on Cooper Cobra Radial G/Ts, 215/70R15, with
plenty of tread and the wheels are in excellent shape, with custom,
red rally wheels and dice-shaped tire caps for a touch of whimsy.
All of the body panels are straight and solid with Coca-Cola
banners on the side doors, vehicle sides and right rear door. The
majority of the Coca-Cola graphics are vinyl and can be easily
removed if you so choose. The cargo bay is in very good shape. The
bumpers are in very good order. This van still has its original
floor pans and the windows all have new window rubbers. This van is
restored very nicely overall and has a great stance driving down
the road! Under the center console cap is a nice running 230 CID
inline six-cylinder engine, connected to a two-speed Powerglide
automatic transmission. The engine has been detailed in red and
white to mirror the exterior finish. The engine breathes through a
custom two-into-one exhaust system. This imparts a good sound
without being annoying. Very few of these vans were produced with
the automatic and it is much easier to drive without having to
shift the "3 on the tree" manual transmission. Inside, this van has
been treated to a full interior package revamp. The original seats
are wrapped in two-tone red and tan and are in very good shape. The
original, two-spoke steering wheel was also treated to a custom
wrap and is in very good order. The van is fully carpeted in black
from front to back and is in very good condition, along with all
custom made red and tan interior panels plus a full headliner. The
horn is inoperable and there is no inside rearview mirror but the
white metal dashboard is in very good order and in case you forget
what youre driving, there are Coke decals above the stereo and on
the glovebox door. Bonus features include an original Coca-Cola
cooler that has been customized into a speaker, Coke bike,
original Co-Cola bottle trays and a Coca-Cola stool. Propped
against the right rear fender is a full-size spare tire dressed in
a red cover with a Coke logo and tagline attached. Finishing off
the interior is a Clarion AM/FM stereo system with CD player and
speaker in the cooler. Competition to this GMC in 1965 included
Chevrolets ChevyVan, Fords E-Series Van and Dodges Ram Van. This
car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri.
