Vehicle Description
The MG TF represents the end of MG's venerable T-Series. The TF roadster brought a more modern take to the TD that it replaced by being 3" lower, with a sloping grille and faired-in headlights. The car's dashboard was redesigned, with central octagon gauges. A 1,250cc, XPAG inline-4 engine was employed to generate 54hp and was mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This 1954 MG TF was originally sold in Brussels, Belgium. It has the correct octagon, metric instruments but was built as a left-hand drive car. It changed hands from the original owner in 2005. The original owner had the restoration done and said every panel on the car is original. The odometer is in kilometers, so this car really has just over 27,000 actual miles (44,132km). Mileage on the title does show the kilometers. This TF underwent a complete, frame-off restoration in 1991. The engine is original and matches the chassis number. At the time of restoration, the car received new black paint, new biscuit interior, a new Stayfast top, new wiring and a complete engine rebuild. In 2012 and 2013, the car received a minor, mechanical overhaul as well. It's also equipped with new brakes and wheels cylinders, new exhaust, front and rear main seal gaskets and an oil pan gasket.
