hearts of the Corvette enthusiasts... Being the fifth year of
Corvettes, the 1958 came with a nice and attractive re-design, also
with some cool features that were available only for that year like
the washboard hood and the trunk spears. Combine this with the dual
round headlamps and other new features, then add the classy Signed
Red with the White coves and you have a WINNER! That is exactly our
offer today! A beautifully off-frame restored 1958, with the
desirable 283/270 HP dual-four matching numbers combination. Actual
owner of the Vette was a NCRS judge who aquired it twenty-some
years ago when it put it through a thorough off-frame restoration
where car was taken apart to every nut and bolt and put back
together right. All this is documented with pics and records, also
seen the attached video. To start, the body was taken off the
frame, put on a cart and sent to the body shop while the frame was
restored. Body was stripped to fiber glass, primed with an epoxy
primer, then shot with six coats of Acrylic laquer paint, then
three coats of clear coat. All Chrome was triple plated and has a
perfect mirror look. Engine is the correct 3737739 block with the
correct F710CU suffix stamped on the engine block signifying as
follows: F = Flint Plant, 710 = July 10th production, CU 283/270 HP
correct rating. Car was produced August 1958, sequence # 9072.
Every nut, bolt and washer was out of the engine, transmission,
rear, the put back together. Carburetor is correct, manifolds are
correct... It got new wiring harness, new exhaust, new brakes, new
drums, all new springs, complete new suspension (2001), Wiper
mechanism was restored. Tires are new with less than 1000 miles.
Transmission is a correct Borg-Warner Aluminum T-10. Interior is
new, carpet is new, dash is restored, AM Wonderbar radio is
functional (has FM too), clock works... All is in working order
with the exception of the gas gauge (may need a sending unit), also
the tachometer is broken. This is a very fine example of a very
desirable 1958 Corvette with the high HP rating, restored to a very
high degree, featuring the most desirable color combination. It is
definitely a collectible today with great appreciation potential.
