This 1962 Corvair Spyder Turbo Coupe is an unmodified example that remained with its original owner for 52 years. It was purchased new from Hamby Motors, in Hillsboro, Oregon on Sept. 22, 1962, and comes with its original dealer invoice documenting Spyder equipment and showing an MSRP of 3,219. The turbocharged flat-six is original with 71k miles. The car is unrestored inside and out. Yenko-style wheels appear to be one of the few deviations from stock. The car was an early June build at the Oakland, CA plant as shown on the build tag. Roman Red paint 923 is believed to be original with a uniform finish. The original trunk pad is still in place as is the spatter type paint in that compartment. Spyder fender script and Turbo logo deck emblems remain in place. Factory Red 761 interior is reportedly unrestored with matching padded dash. The tinted windshield remains as noted on the original invoice. Front seat belts are a rare factory option for
