This beautiful recently restored T-Bird has only some 11,000 original kilometers - not miles - indicated on the odometer. It was built for export, hence the Metric odometer, and it spent a few years in England with the original owner, a Navy officer. The period correct 292 V-8 engine and manual 3-speed transmission have recently been overhauled and both are believed original; the drivetrain and interior and exterior colors match the data plate information. The current owner has owned it since 1986 and it was always garaged. It has recently gone through the restoration process with new paint interior and a drive train overhaul and has period correct wide whitewall radial tires for a smoother ride and easier handling. All the front suspension on the car has been rebuilt. Also replaced were; shocks all hoses brakes brake lines gas tank and fuel lines fuel & brake lines are stainless steel clutch and much more. A modern AM/FM radio with USB connection has been installed; however, the original AM tube radio will accompany the car. To alleviate any overheating the radiator was upgraded to a four-core radiator with a 4-blade fan. No overheating issues were ever experienced with this vehicle prior or post these upgrades. This T-Bird comes with both the convertible soft and hard tops which are both in great condition. The hardtop does not have portholes because it was produced prior to Ford installing them. Also comes with custom hood props.
