HISTORY
A new design with a 2.3-litre mechanically fuel injected six cylinder engine. It featured a low waistline and big curved greenhouse windows, and a Coupe Roadster with detachable hardtop, whose distinctive roofline earned the nickname "pagoda top." The design was by Paul Bracq. Around 1967, the engine received a displacement increase and the model became known as the 250 SL. Within a year the engine displacement was increased for the final time and the model designation became 280 SL. SORUCE: WIKIPEDIA
EXTERIOR
-New paint, color correct 903 H Blue. The top is original 717 G White. Paint was taken down to bare metal and restored to Gold Class I-Car certification guidelines.
-New genuine Black German Sonneland convertible top installed.
-Only 8,047 produced in 1969. 24,000 in total, and only a handful of standard transmissions were sold in the US market.
INTERIOR
-Rare 4 speed transmission.
-New Auto Haohausaz color correct carpet.
-Original owner’s manual, maintenance manual, and various other documentation.

MECHANICAL
-Fuel injected 6-cylinder overhead camshaft (M130) 2778 cc, 9.5:1 compression ratio disc brakes servo assists, independent front and rear suspension with coil springs joint swing axle.
-At 36000 miles, only 5000 miles ago, Sports & Vintage Car Ltd. Followed by Ava Restoration Services substantially rebuilt the car including a top end rebuild, new valves, valve guides, rocker arms, thrust washers fan belts, spark plugs, all filters, ignition wires, crankshaft seal, head gasket, all cooling system, water pump, R&R radiator, timing chain, overhaul distributor, motor mounts, transmission mounts, front sub frame mounts, all shifter bushings, complete front end reconstruction, new shocks, rebuilt all brake calipers, new pads, radiator hoses and more….see all receipts for the past 5000 miles.

DEPOSITS:
Deposits to hold vehicles is $500. Upon payment of the $500 deposit, the vehicle will be held for 7 days pending final payment. Deposits are non-refundable due to i). the vehicles are taken off the market and we turn down other buyers during the 7 day period and ii). there is significant re-marketing costs associated with relisting / remarketing our vehicles.
INSPECTIONS:
We encourage inspections. We disclose known defects and imperfections but we are not you. Purchasing a vehicle is very subjective. Come visit our showroom in Denver, CO, we would love to meet you in person!
SHIPPING:
We recommend having our shipping coordinator facilitate the transport of your new vehicle. We can handle all shipping arrangements in-house, so you know where your vehicle is from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’. We highly suggest using only enclosed shipping to protect your investment. We use Central Dispatch and they ensure all carriers are licensed, insured and bonded.
