Vehicle Description
This traditional old-school hot rod has been fully restored and updated for better road manners. Finished in bright red, it features a light gray leather interior with red piping. This Plymouth is an older restoration that still turns heads today. Custom aluminum '49 style bumpers, sleep postless split windscreen, chrome moon wheels with wide whitewall tires give this street rod a too-cool attitude. The original 217ci 6-cylinder engine was rebuilt and dual Carter carburetors and Offenhauser manifold were fitted for performance. An electric cooling fan and 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst floor shifter was also incorporated to assist with freeway driving. Front wheel disc brakes were added to improve safety and stopping performance, while the dual glass pack exhaust enhances the coupe's very distinct groan that only a Flathead motor can produce.
