Vehicle Description
This Speedstar Coupe rests on an Alloway Hot Rod Shop chassis and is equipped with a General Motors 348ci 5.7-liter LS1 with electronic fuel injection. All this power is handled by a Turbo 350 transmission with a Lokar performance products shifter. Street and Performance supplied the alternator, headers, pulleys and brackets. A custom manufactured 2 ½" exhaust provides more than enough breathing room. The Speedstar rests on Intro 17x7" wheels up front and 20x10" wheels in the rear all wrapped in BF Goodrich G-Force tires with Wilwood 11" outboard discs up front and Wilwood 11" inboard discs in the rear. Heidts independent front suspension system with rack & pinion steering and all American coilovers handles the road up front. Out back, a Winters IRS quick-change rear end with limited-slip, 3:20:1 gears and coilovers transfers the power to the pavement. A ton of custom work went into the Rats Glass Speedstar body. Showtime Kustoms reshaped the roof rails and custom made one-of-a-kind side trim before using a beautiful combination of Salsa Red and Milk Shake White Pearl paint supplied by House of Kolor. No expense was spared for the interior. One-off gauges, insert, air conditioning vents, control panel and door panels were all done by Showtime Kustoms. George Torres of Armando's Rod & Customs put together a spectacular sandstone-dyed leather interior with salt-and-pepper tan Mercedes wool carpet. Other interior features include a Budnik steering wheel with an Ididit column, power windows, air conditioning, keyless entry, and bucket seats with matching seatbelts.
