Vehicle Description
GM introduced the Pontiac G6 as a concept car in 2003 and
production began in 2005. In 2006, Pontiac added a convertible
model with a retractable hardtop. Our G6 convertible is equipped
with the high-performance GTP option package. With GTP, the
standard 3.5L V-6 was replaced with a 3.9L V-6 that utilized VVT
(Variable Valve Timing) and produced 227bhp. A 4-speed automatic
transaxle with electronic stability/traction control transferred
power to the pavement. GTP models were very well equipped
featuring: power locks/tinted windows/mirrors, tilt wheel, keyless
entry, cruise, leather, eight-speaker Monsoon CD stereo, six-way
power driver's seat and air conditioning. The ingenious three-piece
solid roof is power operated and folds neatly behind the passenger
compartment. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel discs with ABS.
Wheels are factory 5-spoke alloys that mount nice Yokohama YK580
radials. Pontiac introduced the G6 GTP to compete with entry-level
European performance models and this sporty roadster is a testament
to that end. There is certainly GTO heritage in this GTP. Call
