Vehicle Description
This amazing suicide-door custom coupe has over 2,000 hours in the build. Starting with a Chevrolet powder-coated boxed frame, a custom-built independent rear suspension was installed with custom billet components, 3.73 posi-traction custom differential with quad coilovers and custom billet mounts. It's equipped with four Wilwood calipers and rotors. The driveline is a crate GM 350/375hp engine with double-bump performance heads, billet dress-up kit and pulley setup along with an Edelbrock polished intake and carburetor. It also has a billet air cleaner and valve covers, Mallory ignition, Accel wires, Griffin radiator and Hooker custom headers with 2" custom stainless exhaust and Chevy dual exhaust tips. This is all married to a GM 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a Lokar shifter attached to a custom driveshaft. The all-steel body with frenched license plate, filler door cover and smooth recessed firewall was treated to six coats of Flame Red base coat followed by the same amount of clear, all polished and installed on the frame. Custom cream/beige leather and Ultrasuede interior and trunk upholstery were installed along with custom Stewart Warner gauges and an aggressive sound system. Creature comforts include power steering, windows, seats, 4-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, GM tilt column with Colorado Custom wheel and peek mirrors. Every nut and bolt and every part has been restored, rechromed or is new.
