1968 Chevrolet Corvette
Since being first released in 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette has been
and continues to be one of the most popular American made cars ever
created. These cars have a look that's all their own and are easily
one of the most recognizable classics out there. If you are in the
market for a nice solid one that wont break the bank then here is
you chance! This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette has a great look and runs
well. This was the premier year for the C3 body style so being a 68
makes it a part of history as well. It has just been gone through
with multiple components replaced to insure it is mechanically
sound. The body is in good shape and coated in nice Red paint so if
a "Little Red Corvette" is what your after then here it is. Paired
with the Red is a Black soft top and the car also comes with a
Black hard top that fits into place easily. All of the original
style chrome and stainless is there and all has a nice shine. Rally
wheels sit under all 4 corners with beauty rings and BF Goodrich
Radial T/A tires which were just replaced.
Powering the car is a 355 small block motor that starts up smoothly
and runs strong. The motor is freshly built with less than 500
miles on it since being completed. It is fitted with a new
Edelbrock Performer manifold, polished aluminum big finned valve
covers, a chrome air cleaner, new aluminum heads, new roller
rockers, new comp cam, Holley 650 cfm carburetor, and new hi torque
mini starter. Backing up the engine is a 4 speed manual
transmission that shifts well with no issues and was also just
completely serviced with a new clutch, new pressure plates and new
flywheel. Other new components on the car include the aluminum
radiator, gas tank, Hurst shifter, Pertronix ignition, brake
calipers, brake rotors, the 3 inch exhaust, Flowmaster mufflers and
new wheel shocks. The rear suspension was also rebuilt with new
rubbers, grommets, and trailing arms.
The interior of the car is done in Black and kept mostly original.
The only minor change is the addition of a temp gauge next to the
center console. The upholstery work is in good shape and the bucket
seats comfortable. There is no AC currently in place but the car
comes with an aftermarket AC system that the new owner can install.
A new Corvette steering wheel was just installed as well as a new
nostalgic radio and speakers.
This is a nice driving Corvette that is ready for a new home and at
