For Sale at Auction: 1969 AMC SC/Rambler in Scottsdale, Arizona
Rotisserie restored by a noted AMC collector from 2005-07 and then used for show only. The original engine and transmission rebuilt at the same time. Has AMC Magnum 500 wheels, all the correct interior components including the irreplaceable headliner. It's finished in the correct "A"paint scheme that includes Frost White, Matador Red and Regatta Blue. It's equipped with a 4-speed Borg Warner T-10 manual transmission, 3.54 posi-traction and power disc brakes. It also has dual racing mirrors and dual reclining seats. Produced in collaboration with Hurst Performance, the Hurst S/C Rambler was likely the most outrageous muscle car from AMC. With only 1,512 built, it was probably the only production model made and promoted for specific drag racing class NHRA F-stock class. A true muscle car, the only option was a $61.00 AM radio. The 390/315hp V8 engine had 425 ft/lbs of torque at only 3,200 rpm in the 2,900 lb car. 4-speed manual transmission.
