This outstanding numbers matching, always garaged three owner driver's car in Silver Metallic, code S-7, left the factory on September 5, 1986. The car was sold by Haywood-Clarke Porsche in Richmond Virginia on December 30, 1986. Owner 1-6 months, owner 2-17.5 years, owner 3-11.5 years. The Carrera has always been part of a multi-car stable, garaged, not driven in inclement weather and meticulously maintained.
The care that has been taken by the cars' custodians is evident in the quality of presentation and exceptional fully documented service and maintenance history going back to February, 1987. This is an original unaltered, original paint and numbers matching car. The Targa is equipped with the first appearance of the highly desirable Getrag G50 5-speed transmission and updated hydraulic actuated clutch. The DME-controlled Carrera motor pumps out 217 horsepower allowing full use and enjoyment of the 5-speed G-60 transmission. The car sports its original Silver Metallic paint. The 1987-1989 Carreras represent one of the most desirable driver oriented cars of the air cooled series.
The complete service history accompanying the car demonstrates a high level of loving care and attention to detail that has kept this car in top mechanical and cosmetic condition. A Certificate of authenticity from Porsche Cars is included with the documentation as well as a clean Carfax report, no rust and no wreck.
This outstanding example is in original condition with all systems functioning as made. The owner's manuals, tool kit, jack and spare tire are present. Optional equipment included with this car is: US standard emissions, steering wheel w/ raised hub, Blaupunkt Radio 'Reno', central locking system, forged alloy wheels, automatic heating control, cruise control, alarm system and air conditioning. The radio had been replaced by the previous owner with an updated AM/FM disk player. The black leather seats show appropriate patina with no rips, tears or seam splitting on the seats. A recent inspection confirms that there are a few stone chips on the original paint that have been touched-up.

The car has its original Porsche books in the burgundy vinyl folio along with the original and complete tool kit in the roll-up leather case and jack. Also included are the two original Porsche crest ignition keys, two keys for the standard factory alarm and two keys for the wheel lug locks and the original numbered black plastic key identification fob.
