For Sale: 1950 Mercury Station Wagon in Dothan, Alabama
Here we have a stunning 1950 Mercury woody wagon that has been
beautifully restored into one amazing cruiser. The body is arrow
straight with an excellent fit and finish, all doors open and close
easily along with the tail gate. The exterior wood looks very nice
with a high gloss finish and the Regency Red paint has a beautiful
shine to it. All chrome and stainless are new along with all the
glass. The interior has been fitted with front and rear black
leather bucket seats and new wood inner door panels. The dash
houses new Auto Meter gauges with a tilt steering column, Vintage
Air conditioning and a CD player in the glove box. The drive train
consist of a smooth running 350 V8 backed by a turbo 350 automatic
transmission and chevy 10 bolt rear axle with 3.23 gears. The car
also received a GM sub-frame which not only made the car drive much
better on the road it allowed the car to have power steering and
power brakes. The wagon sits on a set of 15" wide white radial
tires with 57 Cadillac hubcaps. This Merc runs and drives great and
is very impressive on the road. Most of these old woody wagons are
pretty noisy and make a lot of creeping sounds when driven but this
car is tight as they come. We have yet to have a better driving
woody. These cars are extremely hard to find and usually demand a
premium price. This one is ready to go and set at bargain price,
won't last long.....
