Vehicle Description
This car has been treated to a comprehensive restoration which includes several improvements to the looks and performance. It's finished in a gorgeous shade of light silver-blue that is both understated and stylish. The quality of the paintwork and underlying bodywork is exceptional and the car presents extremely well with straight, clean reflections and excellent panel gaps. The extensive chrome and stainless brightwork is in very good condition throughout, free of pitting and major flaws. It rides on a set of ubiquitous chrome Kelsey Hayes wire wheels, which give it a great look. In addition to the restoration work, a sports roadster-style tonneau cover has been added to complete the look along with some subtle modern upgrades such as a set of LED headlamps. Complementing the paint work is a fully restored blue interior which presents in gorgeous condition. Interior features include bucket seats, a swing-away steering column and distinct fluted-alloy inserts on the dash and console. Of course, electric windows, power steering and power brakes are featured and the big convertible top is electrically operated; a feat of engineering that disappears beneath the huge, rearward hinged trunk lid. Inside the beautifully detailed engine bay sits Ford's proven 390ci FE-series V8 topped with dual 4-barrel Holley carburetors that mirror the setup of the factory Sports Roadsters. The engine has been detailed and dressed up for a wonderful presentation and is mated to an automatic transmission. The result is undeniably stunning. Restored a few years ago to a very high standard.
