Vehicle Description
This beautiful car was built in Lansing, MI, and sold new at Browning of Long Beach, CA, on November 8, 1965. It comes with the original Protect-O-Plate. There has been one repaint upgraded to Raven Black color. The bumpers have been rechromed and it rides on optional chrome factory wheels with Michelin whitewall tires. The 1966 Toronado was the first front-wheel-drive vehicle manufactured in the United States since the demise of the Cord in 1937. Under the hood is the 425ci overhead-valve V8 engine accompanied with the Rochester Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor. The engine was rebuilt and the heavy-duty Turbo 400 Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission is brand-new old stock for excellent dependability. This Toronado runs and rides like new with beautiful quality interior and very mechanically sound. Loaded with options, it's equipped with factory air, power steering, power brakes, power windows and power seats. It also has tilt/telescope steering wheel, power trunk release and a fully operational dash clock.
