GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1989 Buick Reatta for
purchase. The Reatta is the first Buick to be advertised as a
two-seater since the Model 46 in 1940! It was a handmade luxury
sports coupe produced in Lansing, MI from 1988-1991. It sported its
own unique body style and was crafted with an attention to hand
finishing uncommon for a mass-produced automobile. The assembly was
performed at a small series of craft stations at the legendary
Lansing Craft Center, each with a specialized team of workers,
rather than a conventional assembly line. After a team had
completed their portion of the assembly, the car would be moved by
robots to the next station in the series. All of the paintwork was
subcontracted to PPG Industries personnel, who performed the work
on site.
These cars are powered by a 3.8L 170hp V6 and sported a fully
independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, and front
wheel drive. There's a lot of performance in this luxury car that
intentionally looked to break the mold of luxury having to mean the
car also had to increase in size.
This '89 Reatta is a really cool survivor from the south with a
great color combination in Black with Dark Red leather interior.
This car is luxury with plenty of features including: touch screen,
cruise control, air conditioning, keyless entry, power seats, power
windows, 16" wheels, and more! This is a really smooth and quick
ride in a model with an interesting history and low production
