Vehicle Description
This unrestored 427/435 L71 Corvette has been a one-owner car from new until 2014. It has a great set of documentation, including the Tank Sticker (which is still in place), the original Ohio title showing years of renewals in the original owner's name until 2014 and the original Protect-O-Plate in the owner's name. The car is in very original condition, and all body panels are original. About 90% of the paint is original to the car. The right front corner had light damage to the paint only, by the original selling dealer when the car was about a year old. That area was resprayed, and can now be seen at inspection as it has aged different from the original. The paint has a wonderful patina, and has expected light flaws, checking and cracking. Additionally, the lower rear valance has some light damage that was never repaired. The interior is all original and features original seat surfaces, carpets, dash, all gauges and the original door panels have a few flaws. All of the glass and window trim is all-original. The original trim and VIN tags have not been removed from the car. The undercarriage has not been touched and is original to fault, but original. The frame has surface corrosion only, no rot. The floors are excellent. The orange spindles can be seen under the grease. Everything is complete and appears to be original with exception of a few maintenance items over the years. This is a great example of a very-original L71-equipped Corvette with a great ownership history, great documentation and hasn't been restored or manipulated. This car was placed and judged for Bloomington Gold Survivor status in 2015. It was awarded Silver Survivor, missing Gold by only five points due to the fact the motor has been out of the car for prior repair. The award and judging sheets are included.
