“Low Mileage!” “One owner!!” That’s what used-car salesmen traditionally shout about their wares, but in this case, it’s true! Just pried away from a local gent who literally bought the car off a showroom floor exactly forty years ago, on Sept 25, 1976. He immediately drove it home to Colorado and it gradually left his garage less and less, only when it was dry out and never on gravelly roads for the current total of only 19,135. He meticulously kept the original window sticker, all the manuals, tools & keys—everything that came with the car that day at Obrien Porsche in Chicago. Maintenance has been equally diligent and records were kept for everything, The car has never seen bad weather, never been smoked in or experienced any damage or rust. The factory paint has been checked with a meter and reads 3.1-3.6 all over the car. Virtually no door dings and only one stone chip (pictured) are on the body and the interior is equally pristine. Please look at the pictures! There’s honestly not much more to say. Here’s an opportunity to time-travel back to 1976 and get a nearly-new 912E. The then-revolutionary Bosch fuel injection still makes it an easy car to live with and nothing matches the feel and road manners of a good 912. Factory options included the power sunroof, forged Fuchs wheels, sport seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, tinted glass and power windows for a total of $2000 in options, or 20% of the car’s base price. (“Sir, this car is loaded!”) The only things ever replaced were lubricants, tires and batteries. When we got the car, we didn’t even have to detail it before taking the pictures. Call our sales team with any questions, but don’t tell us you’re also looking at a couple others just like it.
