1957 Chevrolet Corvette - Fuelie

This is one of the finest cars we have ever had to offer out of the shop. It has undergone a complete frame-off restoration and is absolutely immaculate in every way. It has the original numbers matching 283 block which has been converted with factory fuel injection giving it maximum performance. There are few, if any, discernible markings from 1957 that would delineate the fuel injection option and this is a full conversion down to the correct badging on the body. The only difference between this Corvette and it coming with fuel injection from the factory is about $50,000.00.

The engine is the original to the car (F510EL) that has been meticulously rebuilt with everything redone or replaced. It runs and sounds just as it would have in 1957 driving off the showroom floor. The 283ci motor originally pulled 220 horsepower but now puts out in excess of 290 with the fuel injection installed. It is coupled with the original factory optioned 4-speed transmission that has also been rebuilt with a new 10.5 inch, single plate, dry disc clutch going to the stock 3:70.1 rear-end. The new dual exhaust has been re-installed just as it would have been with the exit tips built into the rear bumper of the car. Everything in the engine bay has been replaced or restored including a complete wiring harness.

Again, the exterior of the Corvette has gone through a complete and very thorough frame-off restoration with nothing left untouched. It has been repainted in its original Cascade Green done to absolute show quality. The car sits on its original 15? wheels that have been painted to match the body with new, period correct Firestone bias-ply tires. The front and rear suspension have been completely redone being with independent coil and leaf respectively. The car has been lowered two inches on both ends to give it an absolute perfect stance. All of the chrome has been completely refinished as well. The convertible top is stowed under the hard boot and is brand new with the dealer tag still attached.

The interior has also been completely refurbished in Shoreline Beige and has all of the gauges which work perfectly. This was a radio delete car from the factory. The trunk is in perfect condition as you can see from the picture.

This is truly an exceptional 1957 Corvette "Fuelie" with 49,500 miles showing on the odometer and less than 500 since being finished.
