The ElCamino concept starts with the Chevelle nose and winds up with a spacious pickup bed providing considerable room to haul whatever cargo you desire. The suspension, being lighter duty than a 1/2 ton pickup provides a smooth comfortable ride and that suspension as well as the steering linkage and springs mirror the underside of the Chevelle. This well cared for truck is powered by a 327cid V8 with a Carter AFB Competition Series 4bbl carburetor and backed up with a 4 speed manual transmission. We've offered this vehicle to reliably stand in as a driver, as a show/parade car or enjoy it as a cruiser with its moderate amount of muscle and the excitement of the 4 speed. Around town and on the freeway it's sure to turn heads with its deep burgundy finish and the black vinyl bucket seat interior. Overall this car is clean, sharp, safe and easy & comfortable to drive. Under the hood is clean and detailed to show the considerable care that this car has had. The internal workings of the engine remain basically stock with the exception of hardened valves and seats. A new clutch pack has recently been installed and the flywheel machined true. This 53+ year old unit is a blast to drive and will surely give you tons of dependable driving enjoyment and maybe a few trophies. There aren't many left in this nice of condition.
