This is a very rare find with a very cool story. It was parked since 1983 in a storage lot in California and has lived its whole life there before the Consignor found it. This car received unbelievable exposure and interest. Car Craft magazine released the story in April 2016 and the director of Car Craft explained that it received amazing interest, attracting 20k hits every 5 seconds for a long period. He also explained it was one of the most successful barn find stories Car Craft had ever covered. It made the cover of Car Craft magazine as well the Nov 2016 issue. This Chevelle is a rare special high-performance RPO L78 396 car and one of only 2,144 built. All were early-year production and the L78 option was discontinued and replaced by the LS6 option after the first of the 1970 model year.
