Numbers matching and 14,000 original miles Comet was purchased new on November 3, 1967 Purchased new on November 3, 1966 and sold new at Big Sky Motors Inc. in Cut Bank, Montana, this Cyclone GT was originally equipped with a 390 V-8, 4-speed with Hurst shifter, and 3.25:1 limited-slip rear end. Produced at Los Angeles, it comes with a window sticker showing the total cost of
$3,673.63 when new. A Marti report shows it is one of only 31 painted Turquoise and only 1 (one) with blue vinyl bucket seats. Car is near showroom condition with one repaint. Original wide oval type tires and wheels.
The 4-bbl carb. and manifold were replaced with period-correct 3X2 carbs and beautiful custom chrome Ford air cleaner with the addition of period Mickey Thompson aluminum valve covers. The original manifold, 4-bbl carb, chrome valve covers and chrome air cleaner are in perfect condition and included with car.
This car has never been offered to the general public. It is still possible to be put in touch with the original owner. A wealth of literature and documents includes:
original un-cut set of keys, original owner's manual, and an original sales slip with book of matches from dealer. Several period magazine photos, articles with authentication, several service records, and a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer report shows 303 horsepower and
365 foot lbs. torque. Equipped with a factory fiberglass hood, it runs and drives like a dream.
