As the last super-performance car developed under the guidance of company founder Steve Saleen, the S302E Extreme was also the most powerful Saleen Mustang available from Ford dealers when new, with 620 horsepower and peak torque of 600 pounds-feet on tap. As a top-level model aimed solely at the most serious drivers and collectors, the Extreme was a low-volume item with 25 coupes and 6 convertibles built for 2008 and 2009DCRN1 .
