Vehicle Description
1956 Aston Martin DB2/4 MkII LHD
This delightful Aston Martin is one of only 16 cars built, 6
carsin left hand driveand 10 inright hand drive
configurationswith a Tickford Drophead Coupe body.
Completed in December 1956 it was originally finished in Imperial
Crimson with Black Connolly leather upholstery and a Black Everflex
top and fitted with 3.77:1 rear axle ratio, instruments in
kilometres and had the optional VB6L/1 competition cylinder head,
which featured high-lift camshafts and larger valves. Being a LHD
car it was shipped to the French distributor Majestic Automobiles
and then delivered to its first owner, Maison L. Kitmacher of
Paris, in March 1957. In the late 1980s, it was exported to the
United States where it was carefully maintained for the next three
decades before recently returning to the UK.
The car is currently in excellent mechanical condition and finished
in Black livery with Black upholstery and Tan carpeting and
exhibits a charming patina. With its original matching-numbers
engine, leather-bound owner's handbook, service manual, tool kit,
and a copy of the factory build record this delightful DB2/4
provides a fantastic opportunity to acquire one of the rarest Aston
Martins with an excellentprovenance and is Mille Miglia
eligible.
