The 1949 Ford was an American automobile produced by Ford. It was the first all-new automobile design introduced by the Big Three after World War II, civilian production having been suspended during the war, and the 1946-1948 models from Ford, GM, and Chrysler being updates of their pre-war models. Popularly called the "Shoebox Ford" for its slab-sided, "ponton" design, the 1949 Ford is credited both with saving Ford and ushering in modern streamlined car design with changes such as integrated fenders and more. The design would continue through the 1951 model year.

This Custom Deluxe comes in a really great looking light blue exterior with all chrome pieces surrounding the car that look extremely great. The paint is in great condition and shows no rust or major paint chips. Also, a very unique colorful cloth interior that sets this Ford apart from the rest. Powering this Custom is the stong, very reliable and well known 239 cubic inch Ford V8. This engine fires right up is accompanied with a smooth shifting 3 speed manual transmission with a clutch that has recently been replaced. Along with the newer clutch this Ford features a new pressure plate 2 sets of keys, fender skirts, dual exhaust, new transmission seals, an electric fuel pump, a lowered suspension that looks great and a set of newer Firestone white wall tires that really sets it off. The headlights function, all windows function as they should, the horn, blinkers and wipers function. This Deluxe starts right up and runs like a top. This is a great find for those who love these older era Fords!
