The Sixty Special was introduced in 1938 and was an incredible, immediate success accounting for 39% of all Cadillac's sold that year. The 1973 offering was part of the 10th generation that many consider the pinnacle of the luxury offering. It's an impressive car at over 19' long with a curb weight of over 5,000 lbs. These land yachts are special vehicles in style and comfort, giving a ride unmatched by anything produced before or since. After all, efficiency is for the birds.
This Sixty Special Brougham comes out of a private collection and is in excellent condition. It's offered here for sale for the first time since 2006. It is powered by the original 472ci V8 engine and TH 400 automatic transmission. It's loaded with features including dual comfort seats, rear reading lamps, automatic level control, air conditioning, power windows, power steering, power brakes, and much more! This car was re-painted in 2006 and shows really well. Inside and out, it's a tall task to find a nicer example with outstanding chrome to offset the beautiful Dark Blue.
